PA Glass Trail along Rt 222

News Blog: Rt 222

The Pennsylvania Glass Trail gives new meaning to seeing the world through rose-colored glasses—as part of this PA Artisan Trail, you'll see the world through glass of every color imaginable! As you hit the road to explore contemporary art glass, you'll find our PA Glass Trail artists' studios, as well as many glass artists working at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts (in Reading) and the Banana Factory (in Bethlehem). You will learn about how art glass is created, talk to and share in glass artists' experiences, and discover some of the most beautiful art glass in the country.

The Pennsylvania Glass Trail is an innovative glass art tour connecting the GoggleWorks with independent glass artists' studios, galleries featuring glass, and art glass shops along the Route 222 corridor from Lancaster to Bethlehem. The Pennsylvania Glass Trail provides visitors interested in the rich history and production of glass art with a self-guided tour to visit participating glass artists' studios, galleries and shops, where artists share with visitors their work, experiences, and creative workplaces.

Art is not just a destination…it's a great way to travel!
